Juventus U23s 2 - 1 POMPEY U23s
Very angry and disappointed, we dominated with 64% possession and had better passing but still lost.
Rayan Cherki on target, midfield and attack played well disappointed with our defense.
AFC POMPEY 2 - 6 RSC Anderlecht U23s
Our second string Academy were well beaten by the leaders and much stronger Academy.
Matheson and Pennington on target, team played well with Brewster busy in attack but they were much too strong.

An improvement vs our last meeting with them, but hats off to Marco, his Defensive approach stifled our superior ability!
Youngster Kadadayi was our MOM with a brace, and 5 of the XI played well
.. however none of the bench players took their chance when they came on which was disappointing ..

Atletico_U23s 2 - Bayern_II_U23s 3
Pleased to beat a top side and manager - major tacical overhaul worked - we went for a 532 formation to stifle the game early on, and tactically used our subs well to kill the game off with goals in the 73rd and 74th mins.
A late Atletico goal on 82 meant we were hanging on a bit, but great that the youngsters were able to work to a new formation after just a few days on the training ground!
Betancur was MOM and looks ready to soon make a mark on the senior team - I'll be surprised if he is not promoted before the end of the season!
5 of the XI impressed, as did sub Saivet ..
That win takes us up a place (over Forest) to 14th ...

ST ETIENNE U23s 4 - 2 Ajax U23s
A very good win for my Academy over high flying Ajax and Bielsa.
Abi, Koindredi, Salazar and Benkhedim the scorers very even match but we took our chances when they came along.
Good Academy performance and good abs gained.

Real Madrid U23s 1 - 2 SPURS ACADEMY
Happy with win and 3pts, dominated possession with 66% and had more chances.
Goals from Etete and Brekalo on his debut, and Etete with Man of the Match award.
Quite happy with performance, and good abs gained.

AFC Portsmouth 2 - 6 RSC Anderlecht U23s
Good performance from RSC U23s with a comprehensive win against Pompey. Young Jann_F_Arp taking the MOM with 2 goals along with fellow striker Lois_Openda also hitting the net twice. This win gives RSC a 3 point lead from second place Ajax. The only downside is that Arp will be out for 2 weeks due to an injury picked up during the match.

Went D tactic and paid off for us, Yates and Munoz scoring. We battled and were in the match all the way. |

JUVENTUS ACADEMY 2 - 1 Pompey U23s
pleased with the 3pst and win, Draguin sent off so we had to hang on in late 2nd half.
Matias Soule with both goals and man of the match award.
We did not pass the ball very well so that needs addressing, Pompey outpassed us in the match.
