Pleased to kick off the season in style against our German rivals who we have never met before ..
Interestingly all 4 of our goals came from midfield even though we had 2 strikers on the pitch - pleased as it means we are not overeliant on Doku !
We raced into a 2 goal lead shortly before HT and never looked back
Despite 2 defenders missing very pleased we kept a clean sheet too!
Ozil was MOM with a goal and 6 key passes - despite being 36 he is determined to win a title with Bayern before his contract is up ...

NOTTINGHAM FOREST 1 - 2 Portsmouth
Defeat in opening game we expected its going to be tough season, formation and tactics did not work with only 36% possession and 2 shots on target. Need to look at that, Johnson with the goal Thiago our best players much work to do with the team. |

dissapointing start to the season but my options were limited with my formation so i had to play 3 4 3 but next time i will have more options after my players have now been promoted its only 1 game

not happy with the point as we had 2 goals ruled out 1st from karpov in the 1st minute then in the 34th from a free kick very strange so we had to settle for a point going on stats we should of won but thanks to the ref we didnt

BORUSSIA DORTMUND 3 - 2 Borussia Monchengladbach
Delighted to get the home win as Monchengladbach gave us a match not too much action.
We went 1-0 down on 21mins, we had a penalty on 39mins and scored by Divock Origi on his debut.
Gitters out us 2-1 up on 72mins, Adeyemi scores our 2nd penalty on 82mins for 3-1 but they hit back immediately for 3-2.
Happy with the team.

 TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR 0 - 0 Wolves
Disappointed with the draw but extends our unbeaten run to 15 matches (including last season).
Just realised we played our away formation tactics dumb me, we edged the game with few chances.
Evandro Silva was our best player.
Feyenoord 2 - 0 PSV EINDHOVEN
Although we lost 2-0 not too disappointed we matched Feyennord and Stevie, buut came up short.
Certainly something to build on. |

No report to see but humiliating start for us losing heavily to bitter rivals with Jamie Vardy doing damage against us with his hatrick.

LEICESTER CITY 2 - 1 Liverpool
Fantastic opening result beating the mighty Reds at the Kingpower, Liverpool outplayed us but we fought hard and got the points.
Antony with both goals on 21 and 35mins, and also man of the match.
Antony, Malen, and Dewsbury-Hall our best players.

Leicester 2 - Liverpool 1
Honestly wanted to get at least a point out of this one even though we were playing away to a very good looking Foxes team with a world class manager.
10,000 fans packed this first game of the season at the Kingpower Stadium and it was the Reds to take an early lead on the 33rd minute when Benrahma scored from the spot.
It was a mixed day for him as he was later booked. The most disaapointing part of the game was threefold for us:
- Young French striker Lihadji went off injured on the 33rd minute, the only benefit is that he will only miss one game.
- We had 14 shots on target and the Foxes had only 8. We really need to vastly improve our ability to finish chances we create. Danny Ward played a blinder between the sticks for Leicester making fantastic saves throughout the 90 minutes. We also hit the woodwork an incredible 3 times. We should have received a points reward for a hatrick of woodwork strikes!!!!
- We had an amazing 63% possession and to be honest we should have done way more with the ball we did have. We must improve.
It is great to get the first game of the season out of the way but a tad disappointing that we couldnt reward the traveling fans with something from the game.
This was a chance for me to take a look at my new team and hopefully we can make some tweaks and I may have to look into the transfer market or our youth academy to try and find better quality finishers. Richarlison who came on for the injured Lihadji looked sharp and hit the woodwork on the 83rd minute but then missed a great opportunity when the ball rebounded to him, although at pace. It is these sorts of chances that I expect world class players to convert.

Nottingham Forest 1 - 2 POMPEY
Happy with win to start new Premier League season, good match Zico.
We controlled the match but had to snatch win in the 91st minute as Forest battled hard, Neymar on 53mins and McNeil on 91mins.
Charlie McNeil takes man of the match, Agoume sent off was a blow, not one of our best performances but result matters.

Good start for my Ajax team as we will go head to head with Raingod for league title.
Result never in doubt as we controlled the match, 66% possession with Martinez, Rivera and Garner scoring the goals.
Garner takes man of match, good solid team performance. |
