Despite defeat very happy with my team against the best Academy side, well played raingod.
Very close match they got a late winner, goals from Marcos Denia with both.

MANCHESTER CITY EDS 6 - 3 FC Barcelona C
Great performance by EDS in their first match, 63% possession and 26 key passes.
Camello with a hatrick, Ruiz with 2 goals and a goal from Barcelona.
Our midfield were awesome and picked up great abs.

Portsmouth U23s 1 - 4 FOREST RESERVES
Fantastic wins for the Reserves over a very strong Academy in Portsmouth.
We had the possession and we used the ball, Marley Ake with 2 goals, 1 goal for Perrin and Collins.
An average performance but good start with 3pts. |

Very good win and 4 goals for my newly formed U19s squad.
Larsson hatrick and Sanders scoring with Larsson the man of the match.
Good abs picked up and happy with teh start. |

Happy with my Academy start. Good game Ian .. you matched us possession wise, but we created enough chances to deserve the win! Both teams opted for a T tactic, so we saw a very technical game played .. We conceded early, took the lead by HT only to squander immediately at the restart .. .. the winner from Rhein came with 20 to play .. Pleased we kept our cool with no bookings, despite the agression shown by the opposition which resulted in 4 for them .. |

Olympique Lyon Reserves 0 - 0 Bayern II U23s
An even game, and pleased with the clean sheet BUT we should really have scored from at least one of our 16 attempts on goal!
Han Aarden was MOM, but new midfielder Brazao deserves special mention on his debut as a DM ..

Well played Cantona, we only just lost in the clash between the big two on opening day.
We were in the match but failed to create enough scoring chances and bagged only one goal from Josh DaSilva.
That's one of the tough matches out the way. |

Good start to the season dominated the possession and chances scoring.
Kyle Crossley with hatrick and MOM award, Tom Allan also scored.
Happy with how we played and abs picked up for the team, and good get 3pts on opening day. |
