Opening league match and we would like a good solid performance from the team.
Sporar and Milivojevic both make their club debuts, Oriol Hernandez moves back into midfield and plays on the wing.
We stick with same formation and tactics.

Lille OSC - OGC NICE
Opening game away to Raingod and Lille should be a tough test.
We stick with team that beat Internacional 5-0 in the cup, Cavani and Muniz lead the line.
Brazao and Merlen vital in our midfield.

PSV EINDHOVEN - Red Bull Leipzig
Home opener against RBL so we looking for a good solid performance.
Same team that played in the cup with one change, Steve Bergwijn comes into midfield for Afellay.
Josip Drmic plays as the lone striker, Dilrosun will join in later in the match, stick to a passing style of football and looking for goals.

First game with AZ67 and very tough opener with Robson and one of favourites Dortmund.
We stick with same team that iNzaghi last put out to get a view on the players and formation and see how we play.
Vanaken key man in midfield, Lewandowski key man in attack.

RC Lens - ST ETIENNE
We start our season away at Lens and hoping for a win against French rivals and start how we want to go forwards.
No changes in my team from the cup team, Mbappe and Fernandinho lead the attack amid transfer speculation.
I have a young team that should develop well over the season.

Away trip to the boss and AZ67, expecting to win comfortably in this opening match.
Blow in defense with Ehmer and Hummels both suspended, Schelmzer and Baungartl come in as replacements.
No changes in midfield or attack. |

Brazao and Merlen vital in our midfield. Not a "nice" (!!) fixture to start the season with .. can Lille finally get their first win under Raingod? First ever time we have ever faced them ... Raingod's record is poor vs. Colin, just 1 win in 5 - including 3 consecutive defeats vs. his Chelsea team ... With the Nice midfield expected to be focussed on defence and attack, we set up to pack the midfield and hopefully outrun them! |
