Away to Macca so this wont be easy match.
Evgenyev returns to defense, new striker Sima starts and Drozd gets place on bench.
AFC_Portsmouth - A_Madrid_U23s
Jae Lee suspended, Dawson comes into midfield and Harvey Hughes comes into defense.
Bayern_II_U23s - AFC_Portsmouth
We stick with same team but change in tactics.

Big Academy match with RSCA and Macca, 4th v 2nd.
Garvidol comes into defense, Vlietinck moves to full back, Josh Dasilva comes into midfield and George Nunn into attack.

Most Fridays mate, unless it clashes with the WSM League Cup which could have U23 teams still involved. Basically watch this space. |

Atletico teams face scary prospects for MD7 and 8.
The first team start away to Portsmouth and then home to Forest. Neither game will be easy and after conceding 8 and scoring only 4 in the last two games, I really need to take a serious look at the makeup of the squad and the tactical approach against these two very good teams.
The second team was horrendous in their first two games of the comp and we will definitely be looking at a vast improvement but a home game against a very decent Inter team and manager, then we travel away to face RSC..... will throw around some dice and see what numbers come up as to what sort of tactical approach and player combinations we play. I would say it cant get much worse than the first two games but I really know it can if I experiment too much and come up with all the wrong options.
While this is definitely a development process with my younger players, I still want to see them do well so some extra training and motivational speeches from some of our senior first team lads is on the cards I think. After the last two matchdays, not really expecting much and at this stage don't have too much too lose with this team.
In general we need to cut out our defensive frailties and goalkeeping mistakes. |

we go 352 with 2 DMs to keep our shape ..Greenwood dropping to the bench rather than facing his old side is the big news -
but he is expected to play his part s an impact sub ...
MD8: Bayern_U23s - Benfica_U23s
Raingod did have a little chuckle when he saw 35 year old Jardel lining up in the opposition defence - he's old enough to be their Dad!
We are putting 3 up front to run at such old legs .. and see what happens!

With Bielsa overconfident in confirming his line up & tactics, we tweak our approach accordingly ..
... we only need 3 defenders to deal with their single forward and so will put 3 up front! 7
... again we are targetting the OAP defender!!

A tougher proposition and away from home ..
.. so 4 defenders protected by a DM is the order of the day ..
.. Social media suggests there will be few senior demotions this weekend ..
