Atletico first U23 squad has an away fixture v West Ham and then a home game against Sporting.
Two very tough games but looking to continue our fine form in the comp and hoping we dont drop too many points over the two games.
My second team will play its first games in the comp after entering and will start the season at the bottom of the table.
First game will be home v Orient and then MD6 away to Pompey.
With my recent acquisitions coming in I will give them all the chance to impress and this team will start the comp behind the eight ball with zero points.
Looking to pick up some quick points and throw a cat amongst the pigeons in the comp.
Excited to see how we go.....

Atletico U23s - LEYTON ORIENT ACADEMY
We switch formation and trying out a 5-3-2 formation, and will look to hit Atletico on the break as they are the stronger team.
Makutungu comes into the back 5, no other lineup changes.
LEYTON_ORIENT_ACADEMY - Inter_U23s
We stick with the 5-3-2 but will change tactics and switch to Attacking.

Pompey_U23s - Chelsea_U23s
Big Academy clash with Chelsea, should be a good match.
New signing Tavares comes into midfield and our other new signing Noa Lang starts on the bench.
We switch to home formation and tactics.
AFC_Portsmouth - Man_Utd_U23s
Very tough match for our 2nd string Academy against one of the best Academies
New signings Farias and Bogusz both start in midfield to give us a boost in the midfield area.
Pompey_U23s - A_Madrid_II_U23s
2nd of our home games and another tough Academy to play against.
We stick with same formation and Tactics as the Chelsea game.
Benfica_U23s - AFC_Portsmouth
We play same team as the Atletico match except change in tactics.

We have 2 away games at Portsmouth and Notts Forest - be good for the lads to travel a bit - most have never been any further than their back garden. 😁
The U23s allow you to try different tactics - name if the game here is to build up the abs for future promotions to the big team, but wins are also good if and when they come..😉😉

Cardozo suspended and some fitness issues, Alese comes into defense.
Xande Silva comes into attack.

We remain unchanged team, but change in how we play.

We make no changes due to small squad, but we do switch our tactics.

Same lineup again as we need to bring in more youth players.
Change in tactics again for Inter.

Very tough game - shocked to see the strength Inter have built up youthwise - Bayern need some further work clearly!
We go 4213 - and will focus on our strenghts rather than the opposition!
