A thrilling match to kick off the season, possession was fairly equal 52:48, but we made the more chances 22 to 9 ..
5 goals in the 1st half, none in the second!
MOM Hammond with a brace was the star once more, overshadowing his more famous strike partners!
Strong overall team performance with 9 of the 11 linking up well - and all 3 galactico signings in midfield looking strong!
- but another muted performance from goalie Diallo - knowing that Raingod is actively seeking a replacement - and Barkely may well be dropped for MD2 ..

SPORTING CP 1 - 1 Swansea City
Not quite the start we wanted but not a defeat so will have to take that.
We dominated possession with 70%, we do need to play better.
Not much else to say really.....

SL BENFICA 8 - 1 Club Brugge
Awesome start to the season and continues where we left of last season, that now 9 leagues in a row unbeaten.
Seferovic continuing his scoring with a 5 goal blast and Man of the Match, Chiquinho, Pereira and Verissimo scoring.
Controlled the match with our possession and passing football, our midfield were in awesome form and picking up great abs.

AC MILAN 6 - 0 AJ Auxerre
pleasing win and start to season against a good Auxerre team, and very happy scoring 6 goals and clean sheet.
Camara with 2 goals, Doan with 2 goals, Duarte and Kayky scoring, Ritsu Doan with MOM awardna deserved.
Rodriguez, Van de Beek and Camara were good in midfield, Doan busy in attack.

Good match Raingod losing opening match.... We were in the game but needed more chances and to take them, Joelinton with both goals. We need to play better. |
