Portsmouth 2-2 Man Utd
Notts Forest 1-1 Man Utd
Both draws about right although in both cases we created more chances. Something I’ve noticed in the game- sometimes when a man is sent off the team moves up a gear abs in 2 of my 4 matches today my opponents have scored 2 minutes after going down to 10 men.. 🤔🤔🤔

Good draw between two strong Acadmies with pedro and Ballo scoring.
CHELSEA ACADEMY 0 - 2 RSC II U23s
I knew we would not win this game and so it proved to a much weaker Academy.

POMPEY ACADEMY 2 - 2 Chelsea U23s
Good draw, and a fair result....
We fought back from 2-0 through Joveljic and Wilkes with Wilkes MOM.
Good team performance.
POMPEY ACADEMY 3 - 2 Atletico U23s
Dominated possession, they had the best passing and we just edged it by taking our chances.
Wilkes with another 2 goals and 1 more for Joveljic.
Another good solid team performance, and were developing some great talents....
AFC POMPEY 2 - 2 Manchester United U23s
Delighted with this result against one of the best Academies.
Found ourselves 2-0 but fought back immediately, Benjani Jr and Seok Jae Lee on target with the goals.
Benjani Jr our best player.
Benfica U23s 0 - 2 AFC POMPEY
Another good performance and 3pts, very even match but we took the goals through Brewster and Anderson.
Very happy manager.

RSC II U23s 1 - 3 ARSENAL ACADEMY
At least my Academy did what my 1st team cant and win a match.....
We played well and deserved our win, Benkhdeim, Bogle and Duro scoring our goals.
Now we need to build on this.
Academy down in 14th so we need to build on this result.

This was a bit of a smash and grab!
When preparing for the game was shocked to see how much the RSC Acadamy had developed, so set up a long ball to catch them off guard!
Less chances, just 32% possession but a 77th winner from Poch junior .. sorry Macca!

5: Inter_U23s_U23s 0 - 0 Bayern_II_U23s
A draw with Inter at Senior and Youth level ...
Again Inter surprised me with the sudden strength of their academy (note to self - spend less time on MOTM articles and more time on my youth team!)
A game of few chances, my C strategy against a D formation meant just 41% possession ...
Aaarons (MOM) and Wan Bissaka were our 2 best players
6. Bayern_II_U23s 2 - 1 West_Ham_U23s
4 points from a possible 6 ..
Robson's negative tactics saw almost 60% possession and more chances .. our Attacking play was rewarded with a 2-1 win!
Some really strong performances across the team - a clear reward for trying to play good football!

5. RSCA_U23s 6- 3 Forest_U23s
The frailties of the youth system at Forest were exposed tonight - despite holding our own possession wise, we were well beaten.
Raingod made it clear that youth performances were not his priority in his caretaker role - his target is senior promotion, leaving the squad in a better place than what he inherited! He is running a youth team purely for that purpose ..
Despite an RSC red card on 54, we couldnt capitalise and Higashi retaliated with 5 to play to make it 10 men each at the end
Pleased to see 3 different goalscorers ...
6. Forest_U23s 1 - 1 Man_Utd_U23s
Pleased to get a point here against a stronger side (where have all these new youth teams appeared from .. Bayern I & II were the strongest 2 squads in the close season ??!!)
Diomande was MOM for a 2nd consecutive game, and it took an 85th minute equaliser ..
A Camacho red immediately before was unnecessary, and we will be looking at our temperament in training ...

Atletico Madrid II U23s 0 - 3 LEYTON ORIENT ACADEMY
Good win for our Academy, just about did enough to deserve the win.
Krasso with 2 goals, Oxford with 1 goal, and Krasso with MOM.
Good abs gained and good performance.
LEYTON ORIENT ACADEMY 2 - 0 Inter Milan Academy
Inter had the possession, but we took our chances and fought hard in the match.
Brown and Kemp on target, again team played well and picked up good abs.
2 wins for the Academy, and happy with in 8th place.

HORRENDOUS FROM ATLETICO
4 games without a win on these two matchdays.
My second team (in their first games of the comp after recently entering) lost home to Orient 0-3, had 2 players sent off. We had 6 shots on target each so disappointed but to be honest with two players down there was only going to be one winner in this one.
The second game was away to Pompey and we again lost 3-2 - at least we scored a couple but I definitely must make some changes as we had only 36% possession in this game and that just is not good enough.
My first team lost away (a right thrashing) from West Ham 5-1. Quite shocked by this result to be honest. A combination of poor goal keeping and even poorer finishing saw an embarrassing result from a team I really thought could push on from our first few results. Fair play to West Ham, that was a real pants down spanking and I dont want to see that sort of performance again.
The second game was a draw with Spoting 3-3. At least in this one we scored a few but 8 goals conceded in two games is just terrible and we will look at changing the team in the next game to see if we can resolve the issue. Young Spanish striker Maia came away with the MOM award so that really was the only pleasing thing to take away from this game.
