Well played Raingod, we got our tactics totally wrong and paid the price.
AFC POMPEY 2 - 3 RSCA U23s
Well played Macca, good match.
Result could have been different if we had taken our chances, our two goals came late through Brewster and Andersen.
Brewster the only player who deserves any credit.
Arsenal U23s 2 - 4 POMPEY ACADEMY
Just about deserved the win, Joveljic with 2 goals and Schmidt with 2 goals.
Better performance and good abs picked up.

A good day for the wee team, 2 wins but it’s the abs that are the most important to bring on the future stars..🤓🤓
A close 1-0 win at West Ham Utd was followed by a 5-1 home success v Sporting. For a week we sit top of the division, but that’ll soon change.. 😉😉

CHELSEA ACADEMY 7 - 0 Arsenal U23s
Wow what a great win for the Academy.....
Lookman the main man with a hatrick and Man of the Match, Fiabema, Anjorin, Gozzi and an own goal....
We did have Garvidol sent off on 11 mins...
Dominated the match in all areas, Lookman, Ballo and Gozzi the main 3 players for us....
CHELSEA ACADEMY 4 - 0 AC Milan U23s
Another good win and 4-0, Ballo, Ilie, Lookman and Musel on target with Ilie this time as Man of the Match....
Ilie was so instrumental in midfield, and Lookman turning into a good striker....
A good night 2 wins, 11 goals scored, No goals conceded, and Lookman scoring 4 goals....

A win and a loss sees us drop our first points of the competition and sees Atletico sit a respectable 4th in the current table. Surprised at how well the team has been going to be honest and as a result of recent new exciting young signings and a huge number of players in our squad, Atletico has announced an exciting and bold move by entering a second u23 squad. The team will replace bottom dwellers Milan and will be behind the eight ball from the very get go but the club is dedicated and committed to make this new team competitive and set the league alive.
"We will be competing with two very good looking young teams full of prospective stars. This comp is an amazing testing ground for graduating up into the first team and everyone at Atletico is excited to see how this new team goes in the league."

Atletico has put in place a great team of youth trainers to help with this extra workload in the academy and will be excited to see what both teams can achieve.
This will only benefit both players and club as both look to develop into world beaters and the second team will allow Atletico to further rotate and provide game time to many young players who would otherwise be sitting on the bench.
